About Me

All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself. ~Ralph Ellison, "Battle Ro

How it all began...

The first photo shoot that stirred my passion for photography happened during a workshop held in early 2010 with the Master of Photography Frederico Mendes, whom I have great admiration. He is the one who introduced me to the world of photography as well as my friend journalist / photographer Amelia Andrade who has been there for me ever since I started. And not to forget the most important person who had the great idea to invite Frederico Mendes to Boston for this workshop.. Marilia Lima, thank you! They are three people that for all my life I will have an enormous affection, admiration and respect for their amazing talent, professionalism and great personalities. I am thankful for they have shown me the way to succeed, believing in my potential and make me believe I am capable of make my dreams come true.
Taking this opportunity to also thank my family, close friends and all those who accompanied me during the workshops giving me all the support and also believe I am able to photograph a way to succeed in all aspects in life one step at a time.
These photos that I’ll post were taken in Worcester, MA during the first workshop I participated in May of 2010. The shooting was right before sunset - what we call the ‘magic hour’ - with model/photographer Marilia Lima, model/photographer Larissa Patrocinio and model Ana Marquezini.
The photos were taken by me with simple editing since I’m still learning my way up on photoshop. Enjoy!
